Brackley Festival of Motorcycling this Sunday

This Sunday is the Brackley Festival of Motorcycling. Motorcycle black coating exhaust specialists Performance 1 Coatings will have many bike customers riding out to this motorsport town on the Oxfordshire border, enjoying the feast of motorcycle entertainment in support of the Air Ambulance service.

Entirely run by volunteers, the Brackley Motorcycle Festival offers motorbike stunt riders, bike display teams, the Wall of Death, motorcycle manufacturers, classic bikes, road racing motorcycles, bike racing celebrities and a lot more. You can see a wide variety of motorcycles w+Entry costs £5 per person payable on the day. Under 16s go free and there’s also a blue badge parking area available close to the action.

Brackley Bike Festival started in 2008, with one man’s idea of a meeting with a few bikes in the town centre car park. That idea attracted a huge number of bike owners, so the original festival took over the town and adjacent school sports field: more than fifty acres of dedicated motorcycle activity, with all aspects of the motorbike industry represented.

Bikers support the Air Ambulance
Brackley Festival of Motorcycling has since grown year on year and is now the UK’s largest event of its type. Run on a non-profit basis by a team of dedicated supporters, all profits go to Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and a small number of local charities operating in and around Brackley.

The really great thing about Brackley Bike Festival is that the town is closed off to traffic, and the bikers take over the historic market place to use as a display and parade arena. Far from being viewed as anti-social hooligans, bikers are given an important hat-tip by the entire town, noting their contribution to the UK econmy, the national leisure industry, and of course to the UK motorsport triangle.

See MotoGP bikes/meet MotoGP Riders
Brackley High Street also plays host to the BSB race team exhibits, manufacturers, trades and food outlets. More than seventy proper race bikes are on site, with both classic motorcycle Grand Prix and modern MotoGP bikes available for up-close inspection, including meet the rider sessions.

The incredible atmosphere created by these machines has proved a real winner. Brackley Festival of Motorcycling is a cracking day out helping charities.
Amongst all the riders, you can see some fine examples of black coating exhausts from previous customers of Performance 1 Coatings. Make sure you are there!
